Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) Energy Efficiency Scheme
Act before 30 September, if you have an HH meter at your premises.
Do you have an HH meter at your premises? If so, you must take action whether or not you recall receiving a letter from the Envt Agency prompting you to do so.
You must submit relevant information about how much electricity you used as measured by all your half-hourly meters in the calendar year 2008 (Jan-Dec), to the Envt Agency by the 30th September, as follows:
- If you used 6000MWh or more in 2008 (ie your bills for that year totalled £500,000 plus) you are required to participate in the carbon reporting and purchasing scheme;
- if you used between 3000 and 6000MWh (ie between £250,000 - £500,000) you must report your consumption data but will not be required to participate in the scheme;
- if you used under 3000MWh (ie under £250,000) you need only report that you are under the threshold, but you must do so.
You can report your status on line, the link to the Envt Agency page is http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/business/topics/pollution/117652.aspx
