LIA Training Courses

The Lighting Industry Association (LIA) was formed on January 1st 2012, from the merging of the UK's Lighting Industry Federation and the Lighting Association.
The Lighting Industry Association's mission is to strengthen the industry and promote the benefits of good quality lighting by representing all aspects of UK, EU and international legislation and standards at the highest level whilst protecting the interests of both the public and members.
The Lighting Industry Association brings together over 175 years of knowledge and experience to represent and strengthen the industry. It offers various lighting training courses which are recognised by the Society of Light & Lighting (SLL) and the Institution of Lighting Engineers.
Current offering includes the LIA Certificate, Advanced LIA Certificate, Lighting Design, Software Courses, ICEL Emergency Lighting, Part L Building Regs and Lighting Controls.

The Institution of Lighting Engineers has also recognised the course standard and a person who has passed the ADVANCED CERTIFICATE COURSE (including the Exterior Lighting module) is eligible to apply to become an Affiliate of the Institution.
LIA Certificate Courses take place each year at a Midlands venue in January and London in September.
